Community Guidelines
Last updated: August 2, 2026
These Guidelines form part of our Terms of Service. Breaking them can cost you access to Tripsy Circle or your account.
Circle is a women-only space. Every Member has passed an identity check confirming she is a woman over eighteen, and holds an active Membership. That check is what makes candour possible here — so the rules below exist to protect it.
1. What Circle is for
Circle is where women who are actually somewhere tell other women what it is really like. You will find it organised by city — The Circle, Da Nang, Bangkok, Bali — and by topic: food, coffee, massage and spa, skin and beauty, fitness, stays, safety, getting around, visas and admin, meetups, nightlife.
The most valuable post in Circle is a specific, firsthand, recent one. A post naming the spa, the street, the price and the day it happened is worth more than a hundred posts saying a city is nice.
2. The four rules
1. Post from your own experience
Say what happened to you, where, and roughly when. If you are passing on something you heard, say so. Do not state rumour as fact — especially about a business, a driver, a guide, or a neighbourhood. Someone will act on what you write.
2. Protect other women's privacy as carefully as your own
Do not post anyone's full name, address, workplace, phone number, or travel plans — including a Member's. Do not screenshot or repost what someone shared in Circle anywhere outside it. Circle only works if what is said here stays here.
3. No harassment, in any direction
No abuse, threats, intimidation, pile-ons, or contempt. Disagreement is fine and useful; women's experiences of the same place genuinely differ, and both accounts can be true. Attacking the woman rather than the point is not.
4. Do not sell
Circle is not a marketplace. No advertising, no affiliate links, no recruiting, no promoting your own business or one you are paid by. If you have a genuine connection to a place you are recommending, disclose it.
3. Safety posts — the heart of it
Safety information is the reason many women are here, and we would rather have it candid than sanitised.
You can absolutely say that a place, route, or business felt unsafe to you. Naming a hostel, a taxi company, or a street is legitimate when you are describing your own experience.
What we ask:
- Describe what happened, not what you assume about the people involved.
- Say when — a warning from two years ago carries different weight from one from last week.
- Avoid accusations of specific crimes against named individuals. That is a matter for the police, not a post.
We will not remove a post for being unflattering about a business. We will remove one that is an unfounded allegation against a named person.
4. Meetups
If you believe you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services before contacting Tripsy. Tripsy cannot respond to emergencies.
Members do arrange to meet, and the Meetups topic exists for exactly that.
Tripsy does not organise, vet, supervise, or attend any meetup. Verification tells you a woman passed an ID check once. It tells you nothing about her character, and nothing about anyone she brings.
If you are meeting someone from Circle:
- Meet somewhere public, the first time and ideally the second.
- Tell someone outside Circle where you are going and when you will be back.
- Do not share your accommodation address until you would be comfortable if it were wrong.
- Leave the moment something feels off. You owe no one an explanation.
5. Photos and video
Post your own photos and video. Do not post images you found online, and do not post identifiable pictures of other people — Members or strangers — without their agreement.
Nothing sexually explicit, graphically violent, or degrading.
6. Reporting
Tap Report on any post that breaks these Guidelines. Choose a reason and add anything useful.
Reports are confidential. The person who posted is never told who reported them. We cannot show you the outcome — it concerns someone else's account — but every report is read.
For anything urgent, email hello@getripsy.com and mark it urgent. If you believe you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first — Tripsy cannot respond to emergencies.
What we retain about a report, and for how long, is described in our Privacy Policy.
7. What we do about it
We review reported posts and act in proportion to what happened.
Depending on severity we may leave the post up and close the report; remove the post; ask you to change something; restrict your posting; revoke your verification; or suspend or terminate your account.
Removed posts are hidden, not erased. We keep them so we can review a decision, handle an appeal, or meet a legal obligation.
We do not read every post. We are not able to, and choosing to remove one thing does not mean we have approved everything else. Reporting is what brings something to us.
Some things end an account on the first occurrence: threats of violence, publishing someone's private information, sexual harassment, or getting into Circle by misrepresenting who you are.
If you think we got it wrong, reply to us at hello@getripsy.com. Where reasonably practicable, an appeal is reviewed by someone other than the person who made the original decision. We would rather correct a mistake than defend it.
8. If you are asked to leave
We will tell you what happened and why, unless telling you would put someone else at risk or we are legally prevented.
You cannot open a new account after being removed for serious conduct without our written permission.
